Do you have a spare Shipping container?!

The Community Volunteers will soon be up and running and we will soon be provided with a lot of equipment from Wiltshire Council as part of our snow and flood warden duties. We need somewhere to store it and a small (15ft) ISO shipping container would be ideal. If you have one 'spare' in the Wiltshire UK area that we could have that would be very much appreciated!

If you can help please contact either myself on boa.cevs@gmail.com or the Bradford on Avon Town Clerk

Many thanks

Hello and welcome to this our first blog entry for the Bradford on Avon Community Emergency Volunteers.

We are a local group from Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire who are looking to set up a small dedicated team of volunteers to help out their local community during civil emergencies such as flood, snow, utility failures and the like. The idea was conceived after the flooding of 2013-14 which affected many properties and businesses in the town.

We're recruiting volunteers now so if you want to volunteer please get in touch. We have a volunteer induction evening at St Margarets Hall in Bradford on Avon on Thursday 29th January 2015 at 7:30pm so if you are interested in finding out more please do come along. I might be able to persuade you to sign up! All training and insurance provided and no experience necessary

Kind Regards
